Bridging problem IP is not assigned
-
Hi, what am i doing wrong?
I have WRAP and I assigned aditional ethernet (LAN2) port to bridge with LAN so that DHCP server will issue local ip address to the connected client…But that aint wworking...
Well yess I can set aditional DHCP for the interface itself but I want to run one DHCP and bridge Wireless and LAN2 to it...
So what can i do with that bridging?

Try this:

how about to run DHCP Relay agent on Wireless and LAN2? I think it will work too…. normally should be activated automatically if I do bridging
-
good question. give it a try and if it works i may turn this on automatically behind the scenes
-
um, aint working
Ticket 693, adice to use 2 DHCPs…. how about 1?
-
Did you try using the DHCP Relay agent?
-
when im trying to run DHCP Relay on LAN2 to use DHCP on LAN im getting an error that says that I have to turn off the DHCP on the lan? thats strange, let me see what I will get in SSH
What bridging module are u using?
-
if_bridge

this thing blows my head off, it seams to me that the module or its configuration is not operational…. because it looks like the NAT part does the "bridging" instead.... I didnt use monowall, but do they have operational bridge function? caz i dont really want to dig in this for now... i just need to get my device to operate the way i need it ... and than do any improovements to the OS
