I have two firewalls with CARP configured etc, all set correctly, with the master sycronising fine to the second. Everything works fine, except upon tracert, it always goes through the backup. Upon checking status, the master has status of:

      WAN - Master
      LAN - Backup
      PUBLIC - Master

      and the backup has:

      WAN - Master
      LAN - Master
      PUBLIC - Master

I've changed all the numbers, master is set to 1 for advertising, backup is set to 100, just can't understand it.

Not sure what to say or what more info to give, any help? :-\

That's what happens when multicast traffic isn't passed properly. Some switches block or break multicast.
