If its broadcom, it appears to be supported.  When I get the card, perhaps the card itself will give some clues.

        @Sifter:

I just picked up one of these cards for a total of 25 bucks.  :)  Is anyone else using this card for their IP330's?  Curious if this would even be compatible with pfsense?

        Model # NIF4107000

No idea myself - but $25 is bloody cheap for a cPCI card.  I've noticed a new T1 card for $1200 US on ebay.

If you come across another NIC (even a single one) then that'd be great.  Otherwise I'll go play with VLANs….

On a related note, does anyone know how to hack a managed alcatel omniswitch ?  I got four dirt cheap, but no docs and no passwords.

There are chances your switches have a backdoor depending on the firmware they run: http://xforce.iss.net/xforce/xfdb/10664

That one did not apply to me, but this one looks like it should work:  http://www.mreriksson.net/faqs/omnistack/   (down the bottom part)

CONFIRMED - I sucessfullty removed the admin password from my managed alcatel omnistack omniswitch 4024.  I also learned how to reset the switch's IP from the default.  Next I have to learn VLANs and plug it into my OPT ports.

Ok I just got the LUNA VPN card.  It is brand new/sealed in the packaging still.  The chips on the card are:

              hifn 7711PT6 /3
              JAPAN 9945FAI
              B0324AAD

              QuickLogic 0021  CA
              QL3025
              -1PQ208C

              AMCC
              PCI MATCHMAKER
              S5920Q
              0020 A024
              TAIWAN

              StrongARM
              21281EB
              L0231223
              INTEL 1997

I see hifn on the compatability chart, but not specifically the 7711PT6 model.

It should display a cryptocard at system>status if found. Let us know if it works.

Sounds like it's not supported by FreeBSD.

So even tho freebsd sees it as a crypto card, freebsd doesnt have a valid driver for it?

Either that or its not routing an irq correctly.

Check the FreeBSD 6.1 hardware release compatibility list.

There is another encryption card on ebay like the one above if anyone wants to grab it for testing.
