OSPF

Does PFSense include OSPF support? If not, is there a means to impliment it?
-
Not at the moment although it's something we want to look into.
I'll revisit the OSPF package in a moment and atleast get it where you can telnet into it for configuration and make sure it auto starts, etc.

Thats Great
-
Just wondering if there has been any information on this yet
-
No.

How about ICMP?
-
Scratch that. Found ICMP .
-
I would also like to see OSPF available for pfSense. Please let me know if you need help testing.

Scratching my head with this request :) The OSPF one made sense, I've never heard of an ICMP daemon ;-P

I would really like to see ospf/bgp/rip support as well, even if it doesnt have a gui and requires you to telnet into it to configure quagga. There are no real BSD based distro's avail for edge routers. This would make pfsense standout.

Doesn't our routed package handle rip?

Sorry…..ospf/bgp/rip = quagga <copy....replace></copy....replace>

Neither have I. I just couldnt find the firewall rules relating to ICMP. The two questions where completely unrelated.

Actually, I was able to find Quagga using pkg_add. After futzing around with it for about 5 hrs ( Just enough linux knowledge yet) I gave up. I have read that some have gotten it working, just not reliably.

What was used for this? Was it Quagga or openospfd?
