Spamd RRD not working since the couple of last versions
-
Hi!
I used to run 1.0-RC1 and spamd. RRD-graphs for spamd worked fine.But the spamd RRD graphs don't work in;
RC2 or the RC2i versions (did a fresh install to harddrive and then upgraded to RC2i directly),
pfSense-Full-Update-1.0-SNAPSHOT-09-14-06.tgz (update through GUI),
pfSense-Full-Update-1.0-SNAPSHOT-09-18-06.tgz (update through GUI).The error i get is "There is no database available to generate spamd from."
RRD-graphs for Traffic, pakets etc work.
I also get a funny feeleing that the GUI/spamd is not working correctly. I can live with that because spamd does protect my mailserver the way it should (mostly).White-listing and black-listing seem to work, but when it comes to importing importing External sources i'm not sure. I've managed to import the files manually but it doesn't show on the statuspage.
Right now it looks like this after a reinstall;
Database totals:
4 total items in the whitelist.
3 total items in the blacklist.
98 total items in the SpamDB.I've tried to uninstall spamd, reboot, install, reboot but nothing seems to fix my main concern - the RRD-graphs. Even tried to delete the spamd-rrd file, the database etc (followed instructions in other posts). Have checked that the files got created after install. But my knowledge of FreeBSD if very limited.
Is it only me having this problem? Any hints?

Click save on the wan interface and allow it to recreate the RRD queues.
-
sullrich,
I'm not sure that you noticed that it's only the RRD-graph for spamd thats causing my concern?
Anyway, this is what i have done. I'm not sure i completely understand your hint (allow it to create???).
Went to menu Interfaces_WAN and clicked button Save
Waited for about ½ hour - no change
Rebooted and waited ½ hour - no change
Changed IP on Interfaces_WAN and Saved. Changed IP back saved and rebooted - no change.
Did the same for Interfaces_LAN.Dont know if this helps in diagnosing my problem, but i've mounted my other disk with RC1 in another computer and tested what works and what don't.
Shows RRD-graph?

Is there anything else i can do? -
Not sure then. We'll have to wait for Seth to comment.
Unfortunately I do not run the SpamD package any longer.
-
Uhm, you did "enable rrd graphing" on the spamd settings page did you?
-
databeestje,
It is been enabled.
I've also tested to disable reboot and enable reboot at some point.No luck.

[name] => spamd
[website] => http://www.openbsd.org/spamd/
[descr] => Tarpits like spamd are fake SMTP servers, which accept connections but don't deliver mail. Instead, they keep the connections open and reply very slowly. If the peer is patient enough to actually complete the SMTP dialogue (which will take ten minutes or more), the tarpit returns a 'temporary error' code (4xx), which indicates that the mail could not be delivered successfully and that the sender should keep the mail in their queue and retry again later.
