Since I installed 1.0-Release I get lot of these messages, rl0 is my wan nic but what does it mean?

      kernel: rl0: promiscuous mode disabled
      kernel: rl0: promiscuous mode enabled

kernel: rl0: discard oversize frame (ether type 800 flags 3 len 1532 > max 1514)

Packages like snort or darkstat need promiscuous mode to be able to sniff on an interface. Do you have any of these packages installed?
