Undoing the .gz file and md5 of the ISO file

I have been going nuts all day trying to setup a new box with 1.0.1.
It just keeps failing over and over and over again.
I have tried different disks, different computers, and thought I was going crazy.
What it comes down to is that somewhere along the line here whoever compresses the files started using a different method or something. I use a freeware proggy called IZarc on windows to take care of most of my compression needs. The last time I used it I had no problem, but this time all seemed fine, but the burned disks wouldn't boot for the life of me.
I tried the md5 hash to see if I was getting corrupt downloads and no, everything is fine.
As a troubleshooting method I tried a different software to decompress the .gz file. I grabbed the latest winrar and low and behold the resulting file is a different size.
Burned it and bingo…it works now.
So my request is this...could we see a md5 hash of the ISO included inside the .gz file from now on please?
It would have saved me a bunch of time if it had been there in the first place.Thanks

Well I think it comes down to that IZarc is doing something wrong. I've never had a problem uncompressing a gz file using gunzip on various platforms, and winrar on windows. I work with gz files daily.
Regardless I do agree with having a md5sum of the iso would be helpful. Although you can't include it inside the gz file as thats just a compressed version of the iso. I think just including it in the .md5 file in the downloads folder would be better.

Winrar will decompress. In addition any *nix box's gzip/tar command works as well.

I understand that IZarc is the problem here and like I said I was able to get it to work using the latest winrar.
What I was asking for is a md5 hash of the ISO file itself INSIDE the .gz file that we download.
I checked the md5 to see that all was right, but I can't burn that file so it was useless for me.It comes down to not being able to verify the integrity of the file you need to burn.
Inclusion of the md5 hash of the actual ISO file that we need to burn in the future would be helpful.
