RADIUS manager
-
hi developers
please include this GUI RADIUS manager tool in pfsense: http://www.phpradmin.org/
-
phpRADmin is a tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration and provisioning of FreeRADIUS over the Web with MySQL as backend.
the pfsense freeradius don't use mysql
-
OK, but what type of data storage is in the use? Is pfsense's FreeRADIUS the same FReeRADIUS as many people use (http://www.freeradius.org/)?
Idea and capabilities of phpRADmin are (or will be in the final version) very interesanting and useful to many people, so I suggest modification of original phpRADmin (that use MySQL) and integration with pfsense (without MySQL). -
If this feature is something that you really want a bounty will help us be more motivated to complete it. ;)
-
Yes, I really need that! I'm really glad to hear that enthusiasm :-)

and the new pfsense webgui has already manny of the things that phpradmin has

can PPPoE users see their own traffic stats over HTTP (by using web browser)? We have about 100 users and I wanna provide that posibillity to my users.
-
I wouldn't want users to surf on the gateway router to get some statistics.
I'd prefer an external syslog server with apache and the option to format nic stats on an individual, authenticated basis.
With 100 users you surely have a server with syslog capabilities somewhere around, haven't you? -
You're right about security on the gateway, and yes, we have local Apache but I don't know how to do that (syslog) - do you know how?
-
Actually no, sorry!
But have a look at the package called "darkstat". It might help you out.On the other hand, if you would have your users surf on the gateway you have to give them logon credentials. Since pfSense doesn't know about different user rights at the moment they all would be firewall admins. I doubt you want that! …
-
the problem is not solved, but thanks anyway
-
You can reach statistics from darkstat by browsing to:
http://<your-pfsense-ip>:666No user login is needed for this but all data is visible to anyone. Not too bad as a workaround.</your-pfsense-ip>

OK, but this is not something that i want… please see that functionality in RadiusManager (www.dmasoftlab.com) - that's something I would like to see in pfsense

Start a bounty then.
