    I didn't realize it before, but I can't seem to ping my carped interface, or traceroute through it.  I have two boxes.

    10.1.1.22 = Master
    10.1.1.21 = Failover
    10.1.1.23 = Carped local address

    I can't ping the 10.1.1.23, nor can I traceroute through it from any of the master, failover, or my workstation.  Is that function correct or do I have an issue?

      CARP VIPs are pingable. Make sure you don't have firewallrules in place that block your traffic to the VIP.

        Sorted.  I disabled the default Anywhere->LAN rule at some point along the line.

        Thanks for the heads up hoba.
