    Hi Guys!

    I have experienced something a bit odd.  I've had to re-arrange some IP's due to our customers' paranoia issues (long story, don't ask).

    To do that, I had to remove a VIP.  I've tried disabling CARP, then removing it.  I've also tried just removing it.  Both times, the FW I'm working on crashes.  DOA/RIP.

    Any thoughts on what might be the cause?

    Thanks for any input!
    Scott

        I have also noticed that on latest versions 15-03 and 23-03 and sometimes on 27-03.

          Sorry about the delay in responding….

          I've seen it on the 3-15-2007 snapshot and the 3-27-2007 snapshot.

          I think I had it on one other version, but couldn't verify the revision, so I can't trust that report.

          It's possible that there were still other items referencing that VIP (eg, vpn endpoint, etc), so that is likely at least a "user headspace" issue  :D

          Thanks!
          Scott

            @ScottC:

            I've seen it on the 3-15-2007 snapshot and the 3-27-2007 snapshot.

            I've logged a bug about it: http://cvstrac.pfsense.com/tktview?tn=1288

              Known FreeBSD issue.  Please do not file tickets related to FreeBSD specific issues.  They belong in the FreeBSD bug database.

              Either way this has been fixed in FreeBSD 7 and is due in July-ish.

                  Please test a recent snapshot.  I have added a patch that may resolve this issue.
