      Hi folks,

I am having a problem with pfsense reconizing my Nics, I have Realtek 8110sc.

      I have edited /boot/defaults/loader.conf to "if_re_load="YES"" #Realtek 8139C+/8169/8169S/8110S
but the nics are still not showing up.

      Any thoughts would be great!

What version are you using? If it's not the latest snapshot please try this one. It uses a newer freebsd version that the 1.0.1 release and therefor has better hardware support.

Latest version does see the nics.

But…..once i configure the interfaces and reboot... the LAN and or WAN interfaces get stuck at "COnfiguring LAN interface" or "Configuring WAN Interface"

It seems like it just needs to timeout if there is no WAN connection?

Yes, in case of dhcp for example it will wait a bit before continuing as it needs a connection to sync the time and so on first. Some platforms like the pcengines wrap don't have batteries to backup the clock so they will come up with an invalid time after a powerloss.

I am up and running with live version of 1-2 on a CF card and all nics are working - Realtek 8110sc

                    Thanks Guys!
