How i can install sarg?

Realy need change '/etc/crontab'? In FreeBSD book's it's not recomended
User task's recomended put to /var/cron/tabs/root

0       0       *       *       *       /usr/local/bin/sarg 2>&1 /dev/null && /usr/local/sbin/squid -k rotate > /dev/null

You can install by:

pkg_add -r sarg

Or, if you set the pkg_config.xml:

About, crontab. I will change this and create a butom in the webgui to run sarg.

This package also needs to utilize the new cron features that are in 1.2.

We branch for BETA today so the new version is not far off..

Thanks, I read the sources and rework on the package sarg. I will test and report where.

PS: Did the pfsense project use phpdoc for documentations of the sources? or any documentation system?

i tried to install sarg - i could log on to sarg config page, but sarg-realtime shows no info (though the page is generated) and Sarg-View shows "404 - Not Found" :(

I am very busy, but have done some improvements in the sarg packages. Before post the code, I will test and release here soon

Sarg is a report generator for the squid access logs.
