Das Paket als PKG zu bekommen sehe ich allerdings noch nicht, denn der GUI Teil dürfte doch recht aufwendig werden.
Das Kompilat und eine Installationsanleitung wären erst einmal toll. Die Konfiguration in der Textdatei sollte sich dann hoffentlich machen lassen.

Bekommt Ihr über ein dmesg raus um was für ein Display-Typ es sich handelt (oder auf einem anderen Weg)?

Wird das Display den von lcdproc unterstuetzt? -> http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/url.cgi?ports/sysutils/lcdproc/pkg-descr

Edit: Angeblich gibts auf der Produkt-CD ne Datei path: //LCM/LCD_Datasheet.pdf in der das Display beschrieben ist??!!

Das PDF gibt es auf meiner CD nicht. Allerding eine Pin-Beschreibung des Anschlußes für das LCD-Modul und Sourcen. Soweit ich das sehe handelt es sich um ein LCD, das über einen Parallel Port angesteuert wird. Anbei mal das Pin-Layout des Anschlußes.

Ich konnte jetzt das LCD Beispielprogramm von der CD kompilieren. Auf meiner VMWARE Session kann ich das auch ausführen, aber wenn ich es auf meine pfSense kopiere und starten will bekomme ich den Fehler : permisson denied

Wie kann ich die Rechte zum Ausführen erlangen ?

Ich habe es unter freeBSD compiliert und es funktiert auch. Die 4 Tasten am Gerät werden abgefragt und es erscheint je nach gedrückter Taste ein Text auf dem LCD. Nun ist die Frage, wie man das am besten in pfSense integrieren kann, bzw. ob man einen Treiber für LCDprog erstellen kann. Ich werde mich morgen mal an das compilieren von LCDprog machen. Vielleicht krieg ich das ja nun auch hin …
