Standard Packages or Custom Scripts for pfsense's RRD graphs?
-
Hello all! I promoted pfSense at work instead of an expensive commercial solution and it has been performing flawlessly under the 1.2-BETA.
Now, I want those nice CPU/Traffic/Quality graphs on my own firewall at home, which is a fairly vanilla FreeBSD 6.2 box. It needs to do some general things that pfSense is not set up for, otherwise I would install pfsense on it.
I realize this is not a pfSense issue, but could someone kindly point me in the right direction toward getting those graphs set up on my generic box? I am competent with FreeBSD, but have done very little with monitoring.
Thanks in advance!

I am still looking for any help. It appears that the php pages are custom scripts based on RRD.
Still, I would like to have similar functionality to the pfsense RRD graphs for CPU, traffic, and quality on my generic freebsd box. I tried darkstat which is one of the pfsense packages but it is too basic. Really the pfsense graphs are perfect, but as I mentioned before this box is a file server and a dns server and a bunch of other things. so:
Is there a similar RRD implementation out there to what pfsense shows, perhaps the package the pfsense code was adapted from or modeled after?

The pfSense code was written from scratch. Sorry but you are somewhat on your own on this one. We will support the implementation inside pfSense but we just do not have the resources to support it outside of it. Sorry.

Fair enough. It is very helpful just to know that. Thank you for the response! I have done some PHP before so maybe I will adapt it or find something similar out there.
Best,
