I'm just wondering what the difference between these two settings are?

I only want to count web traffic (not local traffic such as internal email, etc). So would I bind to the WAN?

    Cheers,

Binding to WAN will see traffic after it's NAT'ed, so you won't know what individual internal machines generated the traffic. Binding to LAN will count whatever hits pfsense's LAN interface. As long as you have a switch, not a hub, that'll just be your Internet-bound traffic (and broadcasts).

        Ok, thanks.

As far as the other settings go with bandwidthd (Skip Interval, Graph Cutoff, the CDF outputs and Draw Graph stuff - do I need to enter anything in those to get bandwidthd working? Or is the default fine for most purposes?

        Cheers,
        Kim
