      Hi, :)

At the moment i'm using pfSense in a datacenter for firewalling a 100Mbps WAN link.
It works fine, but sometimes there are some speed probleems. (CPU load 100%).

      My hardware:
      Intel Celeron 1.8Ghz (s478)
      1GB RAM
      2x realtek 100Mbps NIC's (Yes…. it's realtek.... it use more CPU load :( )

I need to upgrade my 100Mbps connection to a 1Gbps WAN connection.
Only...... I think I need better hardware to do this work.
What hardware do I need to firewalling a 1Gbps connection? :)

Dual Xeon or Core Duo 2 with PCI-E slot
PCI-E Dual or Quad port Intel gigabit server adapter (very important!)

Yes it will be more pricey but this is how to do it right.
