yesterday i have added some new NAT and FW rules in my setup.

i added 443,8143 and 17013 on a second pc host in my home network.

after that my ftp client stoped working.  I coulndt connect to an ftp server that i normally do everyday.  I checked the ftp server since i own that server and everything was ok.  I could even login to it with my account from another net connection just fine.

After some time i did a reboot of my pfsense box and then it worked.
So i closed down my ftp connection and added a few more dummy entries on my NAT/FW rules and test my ftp connection again and it wasn't working.

Another reboot of the pfsense box fixed it.

Why is this happening?  As far as i know i never had such problems in the past when chaning NAT and or FW rules

        what version are you using?
the 1.x versions had some problems with having to reboot to accept new firewall rules.

We do what we must, because we can.
