Embedded Image - Enabling Keyboard/Video
-
Guess the simple question is where is this disabled?
Second question would be is there a way to re-enable this under windows?
-
The VGA-output / keyboard-input is on the serial connector.
If you want "real" VGA/keyboard. Search the forum on running the full version on embedded hardware.
You will need a microdrive for this.no

In the web interface under Advanced->Enable Serial Console
"This will enable the first serial port with 9600/8/N/1
Note: This will disable the internal video card/keyboard"If you are using the embedded version and your device has a VGA port
then I believe you can uncheck the box and enable VGA. -
When you say "re-enable this under windows" do you mean that you're running in some form of virtual environment?

@Cry:

Correct, the box with the install is an embedded appliance but no longer has a serial port. So if installed I am unable to configure the interfaces in which case causes a chicken and egg problem.

You're contradicting yourself. Either you're running this on physical hardware, or in a virtual system (VMWare etc). Which is it?

Physical hardware.
Ended up installing vmware server. Booting the livecd iso within vmware and installed to the CF. After finishing the install, pull the CF card and installed it in the real hardware, just needed to reconfigure the interfaces.
