Not really.  I brought it backs in hope of someone testing it.

There should be a log file in /tmp/ for this.  Can you post its contents.  Should be something like a_tmp_sipproxd or something or another.  Do a ls /tmp/ to show the directory contents.

BTW, this package source project has been updated last October.

          http://siproxd.sourceforge.net/
No, we are not dead. After quite some time finally siproxd-0.6.0 is officially released. It includes a number of new features and bugfixes that should give enough motivation to upgrade.
Just to name a few of them:

          • Includes RTCP support and a de-jitter feature
          • Keep failed DNS attempts in cache for 10 minutes
          • Does now masquerade the User-agent header (by configurable string).
          • Support for adding ;rport to Via headers (RFC3581)

Would somebody please consider updating the pkg to 0.6.0?
          I would but I'm afraid I lack the skills…
          Cheers

Contents of my log are … but like I said my browser times out and then I have no options for it and it does not show that it is installed.

            Beginning package installation.
            Downloading package configuration file...
            pkg_add successfully completed.

Does anyone have any ideas or information regarding installing siproxd on 1.2RC3?
              I'm in the same boat.

Still waiting for the log files!  No log files, no fixing.

                    @sullrich:

Still waiting for the log files!  No log files, no fixing.

There isn't anything quite like you describe.  There's a file called pkgr_mgr_siproxd.log that contains:
                    Beginning package installation.
                    Downloading package configuration file…
                    pkg_add successfully completed.

Then a file called 'y' shows up which contains:
                    y
                    y
                    y
                    y
                    y
                    y
                    y
                    y

and a file called check_reload_status: also shows up which contains:
                    sleeping

                    and that's it.

here's an interesting note, even though it says siproxd is not installed, nor do i have a menu for configuration, it is running after a reboot.

                      find / -name siproxd

                      /usr/local/etc/rc.d/siproxd
                      /usr/local/sbin/siproxd
                      /usr/local/share/doc/siproxd
                      /usr/local/siproxd

                      ps ax | grep sipr

                      1267  ??  S      0:00.08 /usr/local/sbin/siproxd
                      1651  d0  R+    0:00.01 grep sipr

                        pkg_add successfully completed.

It seems to have installed the binaries:

                        find / -name siproxd

                        /usr/local/etc/rc.d/siproxd
                        /usr/local/sbin/siproxd
                        /usr/local/share/doc/siproxd
                        /usr/local/siproxd

but there's no config menu for it under services.

                        hmmmm

Interesting note that after a reboot, and a second install, i now have a menu option, but when i make modifications and hit save, the browser times out.

*to clarify a second install of siproxd, not pfsense.  I installed pfsense, installed siproxd, rebooted, installed siproxd again, and now there's a menu option that times out when changes are saved.
