Online translation server (POOTLE)

i think i'll try to translate a bit of the german part
(my english teacher wants us to read/write/translate as much english as possible)Is there any way to see how the strings are in the context?
i.e. "in" is probably "eingehen" (inbound) but there is just no way to tell without knowing in what context it's used.also is there any way to actually load the not yet finished version on a test pf?
thanks
Matthias MayYou have to look at the .po file. It will show you in which file the fragment is located. The "problem" is if for example "in" is used at page 1,3 and 5 the translation has to fit the context of this fragment everywhere. I think you should be able to upload your translated file via ssh to a head version of pfSense. Everytihng that is not yet translated will still be shown in english if you switch to an uncompleted language file I think.

Now 8080 port don't access

Should be fixed now.
Now blocked too
I download PO file and again upload this file - all blocked
if i create po file in poEdit program and store - they message me - 2 error in 2592
msgstr is not valid php format string, unlake msgid. Thet caracter what terminates the directive number 1 is not valid conversion specifier.IMHO all troubles with translate server - after upload PO file what contains error format.
–------------
I fixed 1 error in line 2592 - that content ',' symbol - change to ':' - solvedand this error - i dont know what this
22:31:36: msgfmt: E:\Web DEMO\messages.po: some header fields still have the initial default value
22:31:36: msgfmt: found 1 fatal errorPS This Russian translate project

Hi,
I am from Brazil, and I could finish the translate to Brazilian Portuguese language. How works Pootle?
I saw that there is a messages.po file.
Have I to install any software in my computer to use it? If yes, where I download it?After translated it, how do apply it to my PFSENSE?
Will I only replace this file in my PFSENSE? Or have you to generate a new distro?Another thing… I saw that the translation to Brazilian Portuguese is VERY BAD!
I think that someone is using google translator or some other web translator.Another question: How I start to develop to PFSENSE? What is the first step?
Is there a doc teaching how works the PFSENSE and all this structure? Thanks
HamiltonHello!
We need help translating pfSense so we installed a translation server similar to Ubuntu's Launchpad/rosetta.
Please visit http://www.pfsense.com:8080/projects/pfsense/ if you know multiple languages and help us translate!
If you don't see your target language then let me know and I'lll add it to the project.
Thanks!

Hi all (specially sullrich),
Is there any way to begin working on the translation without using the POOTLE ?. An XML file, ASCII file, CSV file ???
Would be very glad to begin working on it, to translate PFSense to spanish (from Spain) …. ;)
Perhaps some other friends from America could use my translation to adapt it to other "flavours" of the spanish language used on America.
Regards
Jose
