      Hi,

after having installed pfsense on a ide flash drive I thought of minimizing the write cycles.
Whilst installing, I already 'deleted' the option of creating a swap partition. Is this ok?

      Can I simply add```
      md                      /tmp            mfs     rw,noatime,-s512M 0 0

(for having /tmp mounted on a 512MB ramdrive)

Is there a similar way for doing this to the /var directory ?

Would such changes be preserved after a firmware upgrade ?

      rgrds,
