SquidGuard db rebuild

How do we rebuild the squidGuard database files? ::)
I found squidGuard_db_rebuild.sh in /tmp, but when run i get: squidGuard_db_rebuild.sh: Command not found.

Any idea?

You don't need use this script(this is temp file). Base rebuild for blacklist processed once after downloading (10-30 min if base big). This script generated every time, when need rebuild Blacklist base.
User bases (destinations in GUI) not-need-rebuilding(this is impotant).
This is a smallest part and very often changed. I not build db-files for this.
If you want looking squidGuard command format - open an read squidGuard_db_rebuild.sh

ok, here what i did:

I wanted to use a more updated blacklist so i put "http://www.shallalist.de/Downloads/shallalist.tar.gz" into the blacklist field.
Checked the blacklist checkbox and clicked upload.

What do i have to do after this? It doesn't look like the new blacklist is active.

New blacklist will downloaded, instlled and rebuilded via sh script (take some time)

I waited more then 24 hours and the new blacklist did not get installed.

Please let me know how to proceed from here.

Try this steps
1. check enable blacklist and press Save button
2. put URL 'http://www.shallalist.de/Downloads/shallalist.tar.gz' and press Upload

I tried that and this is what i found in the squidguard.log:

2008-01-26 12:39:39 [45898] going into emergency mode
2008-01-26 12:39:39 [45898] ending emergency mode, stdin empty

I saw that the new black lists get unpacked to /var/tmp/BL but after that nothing seems to get updated (The folders/files in /var/db/squidGuard remain the old ones)

If i delete everything in /var/db/squidGuard and copy the unpacked folders/files again to /var/db/squidGuard will it rebuild the database files?

I found what a problem - this is a bug with unpacking procedure
Different Blacklist archives can including different content (with group dir/without this dir, different dir names..). I must full re-write one procedure.

Package working great…..however since this change the block_log report does not work. I get Block_Log report disabled on the log tab. Logging is enabled on default page also. I also deleted and re-installed package, but no luck.

I used the list from "http://www.shallalist.de/Downloads/shallalist.tar.gz" and it stopped SG from working and caused pfSense to put a message up saying it was restoring an old config.xml file. Now anything I do to SG takes an eternity and the config file has to be restored again. Me thinks something is still wrong with the way SG is handling this list.

Update: I uninstalled and re-installed SG and all seems to be working again. I thought I had the latest version but maybe not. The version number does not seem to be incrementing each time there is a change done to SG.

Oldest version of config may be invalid for latest SG I move Sources elements to ACL page. Version's GUI can view on CVS tree. Package page show only port-package version (not GUI modification).
