      Hi,

      I have 2 HP DL360 G3's in a pfSense CARP-setup
      (1.2.3-PRERELEASE-TESTING-VERSION
built on Wed Feb 25 03:27:07 EST 2009)
      Specs are : Dual Intel Xeon 2.4GHz, 1024MB RAM, 2x 18GB SCSI RAID-1

They run since late december 2008 / begin january 2009.

A week or two ago, the primary machine failed to respond, and the secondary took over.
I rebooted the first machine, and it hangs after displaying 'starting OpenNTP…',
and once or twice after starting webinterface.
The system health led (top one) turns orange, and system is dead, though the nic led's still blink.
      ILO also functions.

When I boot in single, no problem...until I type 'exit' and let it continue booting, and then it hangs again there.
At first I thought, something is wrong with my config.

I loaded the 1.2.2 installer cd, and after I choose which NIC's should be configured and pfsense is setting up the stuff,
it almost always crashes at/after loading firewall rules...
      Same symptoms as above.
I've run HP diagnostic tests (SmartStart 8.25 cd), but all is ok. I've run memtest86 3.5 ... no problems found.

Anyone have a good suggestion ??
Could it be my NIC's are barfed ? I also have an Intel Pro 1000M/T dual port server adapter PCI card (since the beginning), I'll remove that one as well and boot the installer again.

      UPDATE#1 :

Replaced the Intel card, and system is booted fine now...
never had an Intel card fail on me before, but I hope it really is the cause this time :)
