      Hello,

I'm running one pfsense box with version 1.2-RELEASE.

I haven't ever been able to bring up the package manager screen.

I get a message "Unable to communicate to pfSense.com. Please check DNS, default gateway, etc." when I go to packages.

Checked DNS and can ping other hosts, however, i can't ping pfsense.com

I'm not quite sure where else to turn.

      Thanks in advance.

See if you are not trying to use a problematic package!

I had a firewall on the same situation, everithing (DNS, netw config….) was ok.

Desisntaled all the packages, still ""Unable to communicate to pfSense.com. ..."

Had do reinstall all from the scratch....

Try to not install many packages (5 are many), and to not use a problematic one.

        Regards.

From the ping page, does pfsense.com resolve?  It doesn't answer ICMP echo requests, but it should resolve to 69.64.6.21. Other sites resolve?
