Need snort, kinda screwed. Plz help

I noticed around the board that snort is not currently supported by pfsense at the moment. I really need snort, and don't wanna make a linux fw. I just reinstalled pfsense and noticed it was missing out of the packages list. I wanted to know if anyone knows of an alternative to snort or something? Or possibly how I would go about installing it in pfsense (noob).

I installed full version of pfsense (live cd). Any help would be much appriciated…..

The snort package is no longer available for pfSense.  I would encourage you to create a separate snort box and use that in conjunction with your firewall.
