Does the package maintainer or bug fixers have a time frame for having snort package back in the package list with updates applied?

I'm not quite sure what is going on. I have all the bugs fixed for snort 2.7/pfsense 1.2, but the package on the server only works with pfsense 1.2.1, so that doesn't do 99% of us any good. Maybe Scott will update us with his plans.

Not sure if you noticed Perry, but we're the same people that were posting in the thread you linked to :)

The snort package that is on the server only works with pfsense 1.2.1. I have a working snort package for pfsense 1.2.0, but I don't know what to do with it!

Ermal: the snort_inline freebsd port is pretty old. Someone would need to create a new freebsd port for that to happen.

Well i can update it! But is it more useful and not as resource hungry as snort i have used them rarely and cannot remember much of each.
