Hello guys, I seem to be having a problem with getting pfSense to run on my Netvista. It seems to begin booting and I am then presented with this screen: (the '/' loading character spins twice and stops)

    Any ideas guys? Thanks.

P.S. I was able to use this device as a m0n0wall box for a while.

Is this an embedded or a full install?

On the embedded version all vga output is redirected to the serial port.

We do what we must, because we can.

          A nullmodem cable.

A normal serial cable wont work.

Ah great, then I'll just fire-up Hyperterminal and I'll be good. Appreciate the insight Gruens!

Why dont you install the full version?

To avoid death of the CF due to repeted writes, you "could" install the full version and then change it into the embedded.
This is not officially supported, but seems to work quite well for a number of users.
