Cachemgr.cgi not responding :-(
-
Hi!
I'm not able to use the cachemgr.cgi for squid.
First I have set a link under /usr/local/www -> cachemgr.cgi -> /usr/local/libexec/squid/cachemgr.cgi
and I was able to call the cachemgr logon screen via my web browser (http://pfsense/cachemgr.cgi).But after 60 seconds I received the following timeout:```
Cache Manager Error
connect: (60) Operation timed out

Maybe squid not allowed cache mgr access?
-
my squid.conf includes the following statements:
... acl manager proto cache_object http_access allow manager localhost http_access deny manager ... # Always allow localhost connections http_access allow localhost
anything missing?
-
do you have the acl cachemgr_passwd <password>all</password> defined ?
and configured the squidmgr.conf ? -
Imho is the 'acl cachemgr_passwd <password>all' only needed for some special operations like 'reconfigure' s.o.
The squidmgr.conf has the default 'localhost:3128'.
Maybe lighttpd can only respond on port 80 - should I add port 3128 too?</password>
