We've certainly not been down for 3-4 days! We were down however most of the day yesterday(09/03/2008) from about 7am-3:30pm CST due to outages our ISP was experiencing with their backbone provider.  :(

We sell a 1u appliance, although it might be overpowered for what you are looking for (core duo processor, dual intel gigabit nics).  http://rockbochs.com/products.php#strongbochs

Otherwise, I've got a huge stockpile of Nokia IP330 motherboards that I don't know what to do with.  Unfortunately I don't have the case or psu, but if you just need the motherboard you are more then welcome to just have it.

I really like the look of your boxes.  How much are these? options? Can we run regular PFSense on them?

it looks like from the screenshots that it is already running pfsense … just configured with a Rockbochs gui

Yep, it runs pfSense beautifully.  We just installed a unit into an educational institution, with a total of 6x GbE ports and 4x 10/100 ports.  Running netperf for 30 minutes shows a consistent throughput of around ~940Mbit/s on the GbE ports and ~88Mbit/s on the 10/100 ports.

hd based or flash based? Do you have anymore system specs on these?

For that particular installation, we went with a DOM.  The specs are as follows:

1u Form Factor (Only 15" deep)
Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile Processor
                  Up to 4GB Ram
                  Dual Intel-based gigabit NICs
                  Optional CompactFlash slot in front
Optional slim optical drive in front
Supports up to four 3.5" HDD's (Motherboard supports two)
                  Dual PCI Slots in rear
                  Single 32-bit PCI slot
                  Single x16 PCI-Express slot

I strongly recommend purchasing your pfSense hardware only from the vendors on our Recommended Vendors page. This way you're patronizing the companies that have been supporting this project for years.

Thanks Chris, I fully agree.  Please look at the vendors on that link first, it's only right.

What manufacturer/oem makes the hardware Rockboch is using?
