I am a beginner for Pfsense and i am trying to install pfsense 1.2 in my system which contain 160GB Hard drive , intel(r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU and 1 GB RAM.But i encounter with the error after booting from the live cd of pfsense 1.2.While booting from the CD the error occur while it is trying to mount root.
      The error occur as:

Trying to mount root  from cd9660:/dev/iso9660/pfSense
      Manual root filesystem specification:
      <fstype>: <device>Mount <device>using filesystem <fstype>eg. ufs:da0s1a

?                        List valid disk boot device
      <empty line="">Abort manual input

      mountroot>

This things appear in screen then it stops installation. It remain like this until i shutdown forcefully.I  have tried to solve it from many days but i couldnot.I hopeful that someone will help me to get rid out of this problem.</empty></fstype></device></device></fstype>

Try with acpi disable, option 2 i believe
Try version 1.2.1 for better hardware support http://blog.pfsense.org/?p=207
