      Hi friends…

I am newbie here, but I hope that someone can help solve this problem or, at least, point some 'stone ways' - that will be enought...

I had implemented a Firewall wirh PFSense for a company.
In this company I have two WAN link to put in Load Balance configuration...
OK... I seting up a Load Balance with PFSense and work nicely...
Now, my clients, ask to me about a solution, but I am not sure that I can do this with PFSense.
He want to limit the bandwidth for some fixed IP's on LAN, and, when some workstation edge this limit for download, by example, that download will be stopped and waiting for a manual intervation of SysAdmin....
I know this sound like a crazy stuff.... But I say to my customers, that I will search for some solution...

May be I can do this with Traffic Shape??? I really don't know...

      Please, help with this problem....

      Thanks in a advanced

Well that is called an accounting system.
There are some around the net using netflow which pf supports.
Taking action than it somewhat of your choice.

Tehre is an ipa package for FreeBSD that knows the filter that pfSense uses which might help in setuping such a thing.

Meantime, , how can I restrict the dowload  bandwidth base on IP address?
Sorry for ask this, but I really a newbie and don't understand much about traffic shapping...
