Is there a reason why the push for RC3? I rather see 1.2.1 RC2 finalized for release so the devs and contributors can focus on 2.0.

well ofcourse, but when ppl allready are running rc2 it would seem more logical that the rc3 is the one comming

RC2 is the official RC release coming soon. We haven't made an official 1.2.1 RC release at all yet (one that gets pushed to the mirrors, announced, etc.). If you upgraded to a snapshot in the last few days you have a release that says RC2, as we've been preparing for its release.

Unless you see a release note (on blog.pfsense.org) saying that its released then don't believe the hype. Snapshots are tagged ahead of time for testing. Once we have a suitable build from the snapshot servers then we consider releasing.

okey, tnx for clarifying
