      Hi,

well to my grate disappointment when I wanted to analyze some traffic on one of the networks and saw that ntop was gone. I started thinking how could I still get the level of detail.
Is there any way of outputting data to another pc and running ntop there without having to reroute traffic through any other PCs since I just want to see what's going on on the network I don't wanna change it.

      Thanks for the help.

      Bye

If your switch is capable of this: You could mirror the port going to the pfSense to the port of your "loggingmachine".

        If that's not an option.
Did you read the thread to install ntop manually?

          Hi,

no unfortunately the switch isn't capable of this function. But I did read the thread about ntop and tried it but was unsuccessful almost every time.  :(
I keep getting the same error over and over again about local package cache. I'll have to try and setup another pfsense machine just so that I can try and test until I get it working. I just thought that there was a way to do this without having to hack my way thought it.  :)
I'll try again and post back in that thread if I still don't have any luck but any advice is still welcome. :)

          Bye
