      Hi.

I just install yesterday the new Firewall for the office with 2.0 because 1.2.1 does not have the drivers for the em nic card that I have.

It was working ok until I start setting up the DNS server.

The package install was ok, the new domains on tinybsd were working but, I had a real domain that I want to overwrite the answer to it,so I use the option in the DNSforwarder to overwrite queries for some hosts but it didn't work, after I create the domain name in tinybsd ( real domain name) and I start adding A records, but didn't work either.

I look like the changes were not getting update, I didn't knew how to restart the dns forwarder or tinybsd from the shell, so I restart the firewall and it didn't work either.

So my final solution was pkg_add -r bind9 and get it configure ( tomorrow morning ).

There is any known issue with this ?

There is any way to do "view" like bind in pfsense ? ( internal and external views )

      That will be useful.

      Thanks.

1.2.1 and 2.0 are the same regarding hardware,
It's not possible that your hardware works on one but not on the other because the underlying system is the same: FreeBsd 7.0

You shouldnt use 2.0 for a production enviroment (such as an office) since 2.0 is alpha_alpha.

We do what we must, because we can.

1.2.1 use 7.0-p5 release and 2.0 use 7.1-release kernel, they are not the same.

But anyway, the issue here is tynybsd no the nic driver.

          Thanks.

I havent looked at the new snapshots, but you're probably right :D

But i think the problem is more that you're trying to use 2.0 which is just not ready.
