      Hi.

I am thinking of building a pfsense router to act as border router.
Has anyone use pfsense together with openbgp and can tell me how their
      experiences are?

      Thanks in advance,
      Victor

Do you have multiple ISP's that both allow you to advertise a network into theirs?

Of corse. Othervice bgp doesn´t make sense. I have an ASN and 2 x /24 Network.
I know that the GUI on pfsense for bgp doesnt work…but you can manualy edit the bgpd.conf.
I just dont know if both programs (pfsense + openbgpd) work good together.

          Cheers.

Sorry for the stupid question, but I see a lot of people thinking they can use BGP just because they have 2 ISPs when they are running a private network.  :D

Yes, editing the bgpd.conf by hand should work just fine.

Do you use it like this?

              Cheers

Only when I was testing it in a lab environment. The border routers are Cisco routers where I work because they are controlled by a different group so I'm not sure how well it does under heavy load, etc.
