      Dont update embedded installs.
      Reflash.

      We do what we must, because we can.

        I don't have a computer with Serial enabled, so I was hoping to upgrade from the console. Reflashing is not an option unless I can get the replace config file script to work on Mac.

          I'm afraid that GruensFroeschli is right, I tried the update but it results in a box that does not respond anymore. Also tried to update via console but ran out of memory, there is a script available on this board to create a bigger image so you will not run out of memory but it means you'll have to flash anyway.
          Why don't you use the web interface to backup and restore the original configuration?

            @Delex:

            Why don't you use the web interface to backup and restore the original configuration?

            I think his problem is that for headless platforms like the Alix, etc. the initial load will dump to the serial console to resolve the interface mismatch. There really isn't a solution except to buy yourself a USB-serial adapter and a null-modem cable.

              Thanks all for your help, I bit the bullet and got a USB to serial cable.
