      i have a client using wireless linksys router, i gave him one account only, but he can login to my pfsense box with more then one laptop using the same account, how to stop this? captive portal is doing fine with direct cable.

      help is highly appreciated

        Disable concurrent logins

        Option on Captive portal config page.

          already disabled long ago since i setup the pfsense box, i want to try to use a linksys router myself to verify what's going on

            What's going on is that the captive port only sees one IP and one MAC.
            Because the AccessPoint does NAT you cannot see that multiple users are behind it.
            This is the base principle behind NAT.

            There is currently no way for you to block something like that.
            However this thread http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,10392.0.html is about detecting when someone is using a NAT device.
