Multiple Interfaces
-
Hi.
I want to keep this short, simple and to the point. I am running the latest pfSense 2.0 ALPHA (01/10/2009)
I have a WAN, 2 LAN's, a WLAN, and a DMZ (set up for a web server). Each of them have a different ip range (192.168.0.x, 192.168.1.x, 192.168.2.x). I want to be able to 'ping 224.0.0.1' and get replies from all but the WAN interface.
Basically, I have a media server for multicast on one LAN, and want to get to it from the other LAN and WLAN. I can map their drives, ping each other, and get to the outside world from each. I have played with rules but cannot get this to work. I may be missing a simple, fundamental thing.

If I bridge the interfaces, the media server pops up. There has to be a way to do this without having to bridge connections. ???

For multicasts to go over the router, the router has to be multicast-aware.
You could try a 2.0_alpha build since ermal added an igmpproxy daemon.
