Two differnet subnets with two different lan interfaces.

Hey guys,
I have a question. (I'm just diving into pfSense, so go easy on me because this may be a "stupid question"). I have searched google, the pfSense wiki/documentation, and this forum, but have had not success.
Ok, so I just took a computer I had laying around in my basement, threw some NIC's in it, and installed pfSense. Everything is working great, except there is one thing I can not seem to set up. I would like to have a 192.168.30.1 subnet and a 192.168.1.1 subnet on separate LAN interfaces. My old SonicWall TZ170 did this quite nicely and it was very easy to setup, but after working for a few hours, I can't seem to get it working withen pfSense.
the 192.168.30.1 side works perfectly fine (thats the "LAN" interface). The "OPT1" interface, 192.168.1.1, throws out DHCP addresses (I think), it just doesn't allow traffic to flow through and if I try to "ping 192.168.1.1" nothing comes back and I can not access the web configuration.
I hope that made sense, but just in case it didn't, This is what I am trying to do (in simple terms): ISP comes in to WAN interface, split network into two subnets, 192.168.30.1 and 192.168.1.1, over the LAN and OPT1 interfaces respectively.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you create a firewall rule for the OPT1 interface?
Per default everything gets blocked. -
