Virtual Image for testing a couple of questions:
-
I have a few questions:
1. Is this the latest verison out?
2.0-ALPHA-ALPHA
built on Thu Mar 19 20:07:50 EDT 2009
FreeBSD 7.1-RELEASE-p3Unable to check for updates.
2. I created a certificate and was trying to process it my Microsoft Certificate Server it issue a certificate for the PfSense server called FW1. It is unable to process the certificate, any clues?
3. I can't install the following HAPV package it's states that it fails and here is the results from trying to install the package:
Downloading package configuration file… done.
Saving updated package information... done.
Downloading HAVP and its dependencies... done.
Checking for successful package installation... failed!Installation aborted
Just wonder if anybody else was running into this. I just have this virtual firewall on the inside of my network I also have a verison 1.2.3 built and have been testing both relaease and debating witch release to run.

No debate about it. Go with 1.2.2 or 1.2.4. pfsense 2.0 Alpha is way to unstable at this point to run. With every new build things get broke and fixxed. Its not fun to find a 2.0 that has everything working that you will use.
I still get random locks with 2.0 so Id stay well away unless it's your home connection and your near it with an ISO of a know good build or you can reset it every time it craps.

What I personally do is take a snapshot using VMWARE of a good stable 2.0 build and then if something messes up with an upgrade I just roll it back to the snapshot.
