Can pfsense support Multi LAN?
-
Hey ..
just a quick question:
I have version 1.2.2 running.. just up now.
I want to have two WAN and Two LAN
More importantly I'd like to have the LAN NICs be on different networks.. possible?
like
LAN1 = 192.168.1.1
LAN = 10.0.200.1Please tell me this can be done!?!?!? I have a new trapeze wireless solution that I want to use and I would like to connect it to LAN2. All my other users are using LAN1. What this will do is allow guest access to the internet.. and not access to internal resources.
Thoughts?

Yes, it can be done.

@Cry:
Yes, it can be done.
Can I simply add a VIP to the Current LAN or should I specify my third card as LAN2.
EDIT: I have done some searching… I haven't seen exactly what I need to do.
Again essentially I want to be able to provide internet access to all my users on LAN @ 192.168.1.1 and also provide secure access to the same internet from my secure trapeze wireless access point on 10.0.200.1
Do i simply add a alias/VIP on LAN and add 10.0.200.1
if you have the time and some info that would be great!!!
Cheers

You should specify your third card, that's the correct solution.

sorry one last question
would it be better to Bridge the connection to LAN or specify the next hop?
Thanks again!!

A bridge is for joining 2 physical networks together with the same IP range. If you're using different IP address ranges then you don't want to bridge.
