      I was try many time with ntop but is alway down after few minute with info like this in log file

      kernel: pid 1097 (ntop), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped)

      I also put schedule to run in cron but not success

      anybody can help me?

        i have same problem on 5 servers, all 1.2-2

          A solution for me is disable promiscuos mode in gui of ntop.
          My interface LAN is the gateway (and is the interface for ntop).
          Because is the default gateway i think it is not necessary the promiscuos mode.
          That worked for me in pfsense 1.2.2 and 1.2.3

            i fixed mine with cron, i think it still stops .. but cron restarts it

            */1    *  *  *  *  root  /usr/local/bin/ntop
