    Hi all,

Coming to pfsense from ipcop but have not been able to successfully install. Installing from LiveCD v1.2.2, I am getting this error message:

Panic: kmem_malloc(503316480): kmem_map too small: 4251648 total allocated

    Any suggestions?

    Hardware is:
    AMD Athlon 64 3500+
    1GB DDR400
    250GB SATA HDD

          Can you try 1.2.3RC1 or a 1.2.3 snapshot?  (http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_7_1/pfSense_RELENG_1_2/livecd_installer/)

And just to confirm, this is during the boot from the image, and not the boot from the HD after install, right?

Righto, I will give that a go today.

Yes, this is booting from the CD image.

I ended up putting in an IDE HDD instead of the SATA drive and it seems to be working now.
