I changed CDROM first to boot in CMOS, And i inserted it in my cdROM drive and turn on my pc. and it wont continue. it display the "PRESS A KEY TO REBOOT". What brand and model of computer or motherboard are you using?
What version of pfSense did you attempt to install? If you have not already tried one of the 1.2.3 snapshots you should since that version is known to successfully boot on some systems that wouldn't boot earlier versions.

Just to clarify - do you see anything from pfSense at all on the computer running the liveCD - like CD loader, BTX loader or a spinning / chatacter? Or is it only the computer saying it can't find a bootable device and asking you to reboot?
In the case you don't see anything from pfSense at all - did you burn the CD correctly as an image, not only copying the files to the CD?
It might be that the CD wasn't made bootable when you burned it.

there's no such display like that. I think the computer is saying it that i need to reboot the computer. and i think i wasnt able to burn the CD correctly. What i did was, i just downloaded the "pfSense 1.2 live cd.iso" and burned it as "DATA file" using Nero burner. Question, do i need to extract the downloaded pfSense 1.2 live cd.iso before i burn it? and can we use CD-RW?

you need to extract the ISO from the archive its shipped in, yes.

Extract the ISO and copy all the files inside the extracted folder? I'll burn it as data file or i'll burn it as what?

Burn the ISO file "as image".

Burn the ISO file "as image".
Can we burn it in CD-RW or CD-R?
Either should work equally well, though if the CD reader you plan to use is "old enough" it may not read anything other than pressed CDs.
Thanks!!!!
I already installed the pfSense in my pc.
I assigned an ip address of my LAN (192.168.2.1) then the range which is 192.168.2.100 - 192.168.2.150. And it says that i can't access the GUI thru this ip address 192.168.2.1. And i tried ping 192.168.2.1 in the other computer which is connected to the LAN port of the pfSense computer, no response. Do i need to enable the DHCP or not? I don't know what to do next. Please help….....
