      Hi,
      I have gone through your response on blocking of ads but I am still finding it difficult to block popup ads. Also would like to know if the ads can be blocked in the gui interface.

        Yes, if you install squidguard. The popups themselves open if you don't enable "Block Popup" in your Browser. If not, you see the empty window or the redirect-page you specify.

          Also, i've come across a lot of sites these days that do NOT employ the legacy pop up control. They use other methods embedded in the webpages which renders pop up filtering useless.

            search the forum (dont know exact thread, if i find it i will post it), theres a way to do it with squid, instead of an ad you see a blank image or some text, works good from what i hear
