      Hi,

I use squid as transparent proxy. And the size of access.log file getting bigger day by day. Any idea how to access.log will create new file as backup like access.log.1 and when i increase to 10Mb it will be change access.log.2 and so on. Any idea how to do auto?

      Thank you.

create an .sh script that will ls -lh file then compare if exceeds the size squid -k rotate. then your old access.log will be named access.log.0 up to access.log.10 for every rotate. if log_rotate is default.

The LightSquid package has a log rotate tool built into its GUI…might be easier for you.
