    hello all.

i am configuring squid per my needs however i looked at /usr/local/etc/squid.squid.conf and found the values i had assigned via the gui are different from squid.conf

i had hit save on the gui everytime i made my changes.

either this is the wrong file squid is using or my settings are taking affect?

also, how do you restart squid from the gui?

    thanks

    p.s.: this is squid 2.7.7

The settings in that file should be the same as those in the gui.

After making these changes, if you go back into the GUI, are the values still how you set them?

There is a custom options box on the bottom of the first squid config page, you might be able to set it there.
