I am wondering if Squid being transparent and set to cache stuff… will the traffic shaping rules cause it to be bypassed? in other words, how do i make sure squid is still caching stuff and serving it after going through the Traffic Shaping wizard?

      please advise

      this is release 1.2.3-Release

The shaper should not be bypassing squid in transparent mode (not to my knowledge.)  Only thing I can think of is to look at the squid cache and make sure it is putting new content there.

i am looking also at swap.state in /var/squid/cache and its growing so thats a sign.

also, cache.log in /var/squid/log/cache.log does show new entries.
