    PPPoE still not working

      i can provide logs provided u supply some commands to which i can input and get logs as i am a real newbie to freebsd and secondly when i tried it said something about mpd not firing up in system logs

        It may be enough to copy/paste what is under system logs, anything starting with or mentioning mpd

        From a CLI/console, use: clog /var/log/system.log

        That will print out everything in the log, and you could copy/paste that into a text file and attach it.

              with new embedded snapshot pfSense-1.2.3-20090616-0851.img.gz it will work.
