      Hello,

I am not sure if I am posting this question on the correct board part. Please do not hesitate to move it if I was wrong.
I am running pfsense on a Esxi and I am happy with it. I know this is not the best configuration but I am running so many things @ home that I decided to build a Virtualisation in order to reduce cost and maintenance time.
Anyway, everything works fine except that I regularly receive messages on the console that I can't understand.

      The message says:
"calcru: runtime went backwards from xxxx usec to xxxx usec for pid xxx (xxx)"

This message is repeated several times with different values repalcing the xxx in my example.

Could someone help me on this?

Is this critical or pure informative?

      Thank you for your response

I am getting the same errors but on physical hardware not a virtual one.

What version of FreeBSD is being used?

A google search for FreeBSD "runtime went backwards" turned up the post at http://www.mail-archive.com/freebsd-stable@freebsd.org/msg89314.html which suggests this message might not be displayed in FreeBSD 7.x in which case using a recent snapshot build of pfSense 1.2.3 will probably stop the reports.

It's been around for a little while.  They have been working a vitrualization build for XenServer.  It a common issue, like the clock running backwards and stuff.  They have been working for a while.

I know when they get it straight it will be awesome to have XEN build that is geared for Xen Server virtualization.
